And why we see it all wrong.

Watching a particular video on YouTube last night, I found my attention being drawn to a single phrase.

We mistake the grinding procedure, as happiness for the process.

Re-reading that, I realize something.

We have it all backwards.

We immortalize the act of living, working out, and becoming better, whilst neglecting to see that happiness lies in the act of enjoying.

Sure, in modern society, where daily lives get compressed in an overmarginalized social norm, it would be difficult to do as one pleases all the time.

You cannot sleep whenever you want to. That’s illogical.

Similarly, you cannot always act as your primal instincts dictate you to.

Though, what delves within your power, is the ability to take control of the forces commanding your life.

Be so good, that they cannot tame you. One would say.

In this life that we think strife and grind is what will lead us to an emotional redemption, realize that once you get yourself in a position that doing what you love with those you love, you’ll find life.

Amidst the mundane and the (extra)ordinary, you’lll find what you are looking for. Because…
